Cardiology and Vascular Information
After pumping oxygen-poor blood to the lungs, the heart’s main task is to pump oxygen-rich blood to the body. This happens 60 to 100 times each minute, 24 hours a day.
There are four chambers in the heart:
The right atrium receives the body’s oxygen-depleted blood. The blood is subsequently pumped to the lungs through the right ventricle.
The lungs deliver oxygen-rich blood to the left atrium. The blood then flows into the left ventricle, which is responsible for pumping blood from the heart to the rest of the body.
The vascular system refers to the collection of arteries and veins. Blood is carried out from the heart by arteries and returned to the heart by veins.
The cardiovascular system transports oxygen, nutrition, hormones, and other vital substances throughout the body’s cells and organs. It is crucial in assisting the body in meeting the demands of activity, exercise, and stress. It also aids in body temperature regulation, among other things.
Information about Cardiology Clinical Trials
Onyx Clinical’s Cardiovascular teams are experts in the scientific approach, standard of care, growing regulatory requirements, and operational factors required to bring medications and devices to market that treat or prevent heart disease. Our significant experience in cardiovascular studies, together with our proven track record of success in the cardiovascular CRO market, means that we can adapt to each cardiovascular trial’s specific demands.
In order to ensure success, we help our clients:
- Plan and conduct cardiovascular studies for drug/device and cardiac safety in an efficient and effective manner.
- Conduct big cardiovascular endpoint trials efficiently while adhering to stringent safety guidelines.
- Integrate cardiovascular trials with metabolic/endocrinology research without difficulty.
The Crucial Information
Deep and Broad Cardiovascular Experience
We’ve done hundreds of Phase I-IV cardiovascular trials for pharmaceuticals and medical devices since our establishment in 2017.
We have learned the following from these studies:
- Involved patients in nearly 50 different countries
- Contributed to countless cardiovascular NDAs
- Pioneered many of the preventative cardiovascular drugs and devices introduced in the past 15 years
- Conducted studies including acute care setting, drug/device combination, large outcome, thorough QT, as well as managing Clinical Endpoint Committees (CEC) and adjudication processes for numerous studies
